About Asaduzzaman Noor:
Asaduzzaman Noor is Bangladeshi legendary actor. Apart from that, he is a successful politician in Bangladesh. He came from a background of stage show performer and became one of the top media personality in the ’90s. He maintained a high standard in all of his work throughout the year. Despite working in various paths, he always involves different forms of acting. Asaduzzaman Noor is a benchmark and a person to follow for many.
Personal Life
Asaduzzaman Noor was born on 31st December 1946 in Jalpaiguri, Kolkata. During 1948 after the partisan they moved into Nilphamari. They exchanged their lands from Jalpaiguri with someone who moved from Nilphamari. His parents are Abu Nazem Mohammad Ali and mother Amena Begum. Both of them were teachers from Girls School. Amena Begum was a principle and Nazem Mohammad was vice-principle. Later his father established other schools in the area to expand the education in the area. Noor has a brother Dr. Ahaduzzaman Mohammad Ali (A retired professor of Dhaka University) and a sister Kaosar Afsana (Director of Health, Nutrition, and Population of BRAC).
Developing a cultural and political mindset
Noor’s father was the extrovert type of person. He influenced Asaduzzaman Noor to involved in cultural activity. His teacher Sunil Banerjee also influenced him to develop the cultural mind. Besides’ Noor’s father was also a left-winged party side person. It inspired him to join in “Student Union” in student life.
Education
He passed matric from Nilphamari. Then first he got admission at Nilphamari College then left it and got admission at Karmichel College. From there he passed higher secondary but the result was not good. So his parents brought him back to Nilphamari and got admit him into BA. After completing BA, he got admission into Law at Dhaka University. Then he again got admission into Political Science but did not complete that.
Marriage Life
Asaduzzaman Noor tied a knot with Dr. Shaheen Akhter. His wife is a doctor. Shaheen Akhter is also passionate about singing as well. This couple has a daughter Shuprova and a son Shudeepto. Noor mentioned that his family supported him in his career and they are also devoted to social welfare activity as well.
Career
Actor
There was a group in Dhaka University name “Sangskriti Sangsad”. He was selected as the president of the group. From the group as they arranged various cultural programs including drama, singing program. All of these were part of a protest against Pakistan. His initial acting was starting from there.
However, after the liberation war, things changed. He was searching for a job and found it in a printing press. Then he found another job as a cultural reporter in a magazine. Consequently, he met the people with whom he worked before the Liberation War. They influenced him to join into a theater group “Nagorik” in 1973. Initially, he worked as prompter and eventually got the break while Abul Hayat got injured. So Ali Zaker asked him to step up. This is how Asaduzzaman Noor started his acting career.
Asaduzzaman Noor made his debut in television in 1974. The drama was “Rang Er Phanush”, directed by Abdullah Al Mamun. However, his most notable work was in “Kothao Keu Nei” drama. His character “Baker Bhai” literally changed the landscape of the industry. This drama literally brought the whole nation as one. Noor also worked in the movie. His most famous movie was “Aguner Poroshmoni” in 1994.

Politics
As influenced by his father, Asaduzzaman Noor joined into Student Union in 1962. Meanwhile, 1966, he got admission in Dhaka University. There he got the position of Cultural Secretary. At the time of the liberation war in 1971, he involved there as “freedom fighter”. After the war, he actively involved in politics again. At the time of 1990, he participated in the mass uprising against the ruling party. Later he got the nomination from Bangladesh Awami League in the election of 2001, 2008, 2013 and 2018. In all four times, he passed from Niphamarai-2 seat. He had immense popularity in his area. During 2014, he was appointed as Minister of Ministry of Cultural Affairs.

Besides, Asaduzzaman Noor is a popular Elocutionist. For the years he has given voice behind the advertisements. He also worked as host of different popular reality shows. He was the former Vice Chairman at Asiatic 360 and also the former MD at Desh TV. However, he stepped down from these positions to continue his work in ministry.
