About Humaira Himu
Humaira Himu is a Bangladeshi actress. She has worked as an actress in movie and TV drama. She has also worked as a model in the different advertisement. Himu is a regular face in the media industry, however, she likes to stay out of exposure. Despite focusing on comedy dramas at the beginning, now she slowly started to break her character and involved in various characters. Apart from acting and modeling, Himu is also presented as a presenter in different programs.
Personal Life
Himu was born on 23rd November 1985 in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Humaira passed her childhood at Lakshmipur. She completed her SSC and HSC exam from there. She worked in the stage shows since she was only 5 years old with French Drama Group. After completing the HSC, she came into Dhaka and started to study at Eden Mohila College. Meanwhile, she pursued media as well to fulfill her dream.
Career
Humaira Himu introduced herself in media with a Television advertisement. She worked in various top brand’s advertisement. Later she got a bus with small screen dramas. She focused on village-based comedy dramas first. Later she focused to work in depth characters. Himu appeared in the drama “DB” which was based on crime investigation. Some of her notable works are, Chaya Bibi, Comedy 420, Batighor, Hatkhola and Songhat.
Himu also worked in the movie. Along with Ferdous and Moushumi, she worked in the movie “Ek Cup Cha”. However, her performance in “Amar Bondhu Rashed” (2011), a movie based on the Bangladesh liberation war was highly praised by all. Since then Himu did not work in more movie. She mentioned that she would work in the movie if she might get a better opportunity with a good story.
Furthermore, Himu worked as the presenter. She presented in the comedy show “Comedy Hour” at ATN Bangla. However, she left it eventually while complained that she did not find anything new with the show. She worked similarly in different shows as well. Besides she was featured to work as director on a reality show ‘BD Singer of the Nation’.
