Sharmin Lucky is a Bangladeshi model and presenter. She became immensely popular while she worked in a cooking show. Since the show, she has worked in several programs and eventually found success. Despite major acceptance among the audience she did not do any random work rather maintained such high standard.
Personal Life
Sharmin Lucky was born on 31st December in Barisal, Bangladesh. Her parents are Abdul Hamid Khan and Mahmuda Begum. However, she grew up at Moghbazar, Dhaka. She studied at Siddheswari College and completed higher education from Dhaka University. Among her 8 siblings, she is the youngest. Sharmin Lucky married to Nazrul Islam. Nazrul Islam is a businessman. This couple has a son. His name is Ishrak Shayer. He went to Australia for study purpose.
Career
Lucky is a multi-talented personality. She was passionate about the poem since her childhood. While she was in class 9, Lucky involved with a poem reciting group. The group was known as Eshomoy. During any special occasion, Sharmin Lucky recites the poem. She mentioned about her rare scope of learning from some icons of Bangladesh like Aly Zaker, Asaduzzaman Noor, Prodip Ghosh, and Joyonto Chottopaddhay.
However, initially Sharmin Lucky came under the limelight through her voice. She worked as a voice artist of advertisements and documentary. Though she received enormous popularity after started to work in the cooking show “Siddika Kabir’s Recipe”. It aired in nTV. In the show, Bangladesh’s most renowned cooking book writer and nutritionist Siddika Kabir showed somehow to cook different food items with important tips. The show was vastly popular. It ran for 10 years. Later she worked as host and judge in other shows as well. Some of the notable are “Lux Bridal Show”, “Rupchada Daily Star Super Chef” etc.
Meanwhile, she worked as radio jockey as well. She was the host of Radio Foorti’s “Total Time Pass With Sharmin Lucky” show. Furthermore, Lucky worked as a model in TV advertisement of different top-level brands including Igloo, Bengal etc. Besides, Lucky received numerous offer for acting in TV drama but she refused. She assumed that she would not fit in acting. Sharmin Lucky intended to work with subjective issues like rivers. However, she did not receive a proper response from the authorities.
