Zahid Hasan is a legendary media personality in Bangladesh. Former stage show performer proved his worth in both television drama and movie. He played in dynamic characters in his work life. Personal life:
Pulok is the nickname of Zahid Hasan. He was born in 4th October 1967 in Sirajganj at his grandfather’s house. Zahid is the 8th child of Elius Uddin Talukdar and Hamida Begum. His father was a Customs Superintend and mother was a housewife. He passed his early education life in Sirajganj. Since his early life, Zahid Hasan involved in different types of Co-curricular activities. Zahid was involved in scout. Also, he worked with local stage performers. The stage performer group known as “Torun Sampraday Natto” and he was a regular performer from that group.

Marriage with Mou:
Zahid Hasan tied the knot with a popular Bangladeshi model and dancer, Sadia Islam Mou. While they were in the shooting of Ittadi, they came close and eventually married. This couple has two kids, one girl Pushpita and a boy Purno.
Career:
After completing the studying, Zahid Hasan came to Dhaka in search of a job. Back in the time, he never had the intention to be a regular actor. However, when he came to Dhaka he involved in stage shows. His previous history to work in stage unintentionally allow him to involve there.
Despite the fact that, Zahid Hasan is a popular person in small screen drama, he actually found the place in front of the camera for movies. Zahid first appeared in a joint production movie among Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka in 1986. The movie was “Boloban”. However, before the movie, his performance in the stage show “Shat Purusher Rin” was telecasted in BTV in 1984. It helped him later to pursue his acting career.
After a certain period of his first appearance, Zahid selected in an audition of BTV Drama. His first TV drama was “Jibon Jemon”. This drama telecasted in 1990. Since then he slowly established himself as a strong media personality and his work range increased dramatically. At the beginning, he involved mostly in comedy-drama. His acting in “Aj Robibar” of Humayun Ahmed created a special space for him in the heart of viewers.
Zahid Hasan adopted a unique ability to speak in old Dhaka style, Urban style and in area wise style. It allowed him to work in diversified characters and reach to people easily. Since 1990, Zahid was highly active in TV drama. The participated in more than 500 TV dramas including TV series, single day TV drama etc.

Aj Robibar, Sobuj Shathi, Lal Nil Beguni, Graduate, Montri Mohodoyer Agomon, Apu The Great, Arman Bhai Series, Wrong Number, Iblish, Kobi, Americana etc.
After his first appearance in the movie, Zahid reappeared in big screen with the movie “Srabon Megher Dine” by Humayun Ahmed in 1999. It allowed him to get the National Award. Then we again found him in the movie in 2007. It was “Made in Bangladesh”. The movie was not commercially hit, however, appreciated by movie critic and a group of the fan base. Since then Zahid has been performed in few movies on an irregular basis.
Zahid Hasan also involved in TV Drama direction. His first directed movie was “Lal Nil Beguni”. Some of his other popular directed drama was “Ghughr Basha, Chor Kuturi, Eka o Chonnochara, Boka Manush, Private Detective etc.
