Pori Moni is a Bangladeshi model and movie actress. She involved with ShowBiz in 2012 and eventually became one of the top members of the industry. She started her career in TV serials and came to spotlight after being involved with a very sensitive movie. Later, she involved herself as the director of the movie.

Pori Moni was born on 24^th October 1992. Her birthplace was in Kaila, Narail, Bangladesh. Pori’s real name is “Shamsunnahar Smrity”. Her father was a “Businessman” and mother was “Housewife”. Her mother died when she was three years old only and in 2012 her father left this world also. As her mother died at an early age, she started to live under the care of her grandparents in Pirojpur, Barisal. She has been passionate about Show business since her early life. In this regard after completing the HSC, she moved to Dhaka and involved in “Modeling” afterward.

This Bangladeshi actress is currently “single”. There was some rumor spread about her relationship with Mohammed IM, a film director. However, Pori strongly disagreed with this.

Pori Moni Career:

After the HSC exam when Pori moved into Dhaka, she involved herself with modeling. Within a short period of time, she managed to involve with 4 TV dramas. One of them was “2^nd Innings”. However, she came under limelight after acted in the center character “Reshma” in the movie “Rana Plaza”. It was based on the tragic event occurred where casualty was incredibly high. As the content of the movie was highly sensitive to the movie was not passed the door of the censor board.

Pori’s first movie released on February 13, 2015. The movie was “Bhalobasha Shimaheen”. Since then she acted in the opposite of all top stars of Dhallywood, including Shakib Khan, Shah Riaz, Bappy Chowdhury, Arifin Shuvo and many more. She emerged as the co-producer of a movie named, “Mohua Sundori”. It’s a government funded movie.

In Pori’s career, she broke her character in different movies. It is very unlikely from a new generation movie star. Usually, Pori Moni is being involved in so-called commercial movies where the actress needs to follow a generalized character. However, Pori actually broke that chain and came up with totally a new view of her in “Swapnajaal” movie.
