Mahiya Mahi is the daughter of Abu Bakkar Khokon & Dilara Yasmin Soby. She born on 27th October 1993. This popular actress born and passed her childhood in Rajshahi. She had an excellent track record in her early educational life. She managed GPA 5 in both her SSC and HSC exam respectively from Uttara High School & College and Dhaka City College. Some reports suggest that she had an early intention to be a doctor.
However, later her involved in Showbiz arena would not allow her to follow that. Meanwhile, she joined in the Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology to study fashion designing. It’s undoubtedly that she is the perfect example of beauty and the brain.
Mahi married a renowned businessman from Sylhet in 2016, named Mahmud Pervez Opu. After her marriage, a controversy raised. Originally Mahiya Mahi wanted to pursue a career to be a doctor. However, she also had an appeal for modeling. In that regard, she had some model photo shoot. While Jazz Multimedia was searching for a newcomer she submitted her photos through her friend. Things turned around for Mahi as Jazz picked her for the first digital movie in Bangladesh “Bhalobashar Rong”.
She acted with Bappy Chowdhury in that movie who was also a newcomer in that time. The movie financially brought a huge success to Jazz. Also, Mahi was able to attract both viewers and Bangladeshi movie pundits with her glamour and acting capability with this movie.
Her success in the first movie led her to four new movies in 2013. Her movie Poramon against Saimon Sadik was one of most commercially successful movie in that year. However, her career reached in another level when her movie with one of the most successful superstars in Bangladeshi movie history, Shakib Khan paired with her in the movie. The movie was a huge success as well as highly appreciated throughout the movie industry.
