Urmila Srabonti Kar is a Bangladesh actress and model. She entered into Bangladeshi media through a beauty pageant show. However, Urmila has other identities with other activities as well.
Personal Life:
Srabonti was born on 18th July 1990 in Tangail, Bangladesh. However, she brought up in Chattogram. Her parents are Ananta Kar and Tripty Kar. Ananta Kar was Army personnel. Due to her father’s job, Urmila Srabonti was moving into different places as per his posting. Thus why she completed her SSC at Chattogram and HSC at Dhaka. Meanwhile, she studied law from the University of Chittagong. Urmila has an elder brother who works at Army as well.
Urmila Srabonti’s family was very passionate about cultural things, especially about music. However, Urmila’s father could not continue to sing due to his profession. Meanwhile, his brother plays guitar. Urmila learned music from Chayanat. She had a diploma on Rabindra Sangeet from Chayanat as well.
Marriage:
Urmila Srabonti Kar married to Joydeep Sinha on 29th April 2015. Joydeep Sinha works at BRAC. Originally, Joydeep is from Kolkata, however, he and his family live in Dhaka.
Career
Srabonti kar started her journey in Bangladeshi media through Lux-Channel I beauty pageant show. She achieved the 5th spot in the contest. However, after the competition, she focused on acting. During 2010, Srabonti worked in a TV drama “Jotil Prem” for the first time. It was directed by Taher Shipon. Since then she worked in numerous TV drama. Some of her notable works are “Mehman o Redwan Ronir”, “Cholo Shobai Diet kori”, “Shomporker Golpo”, “Circle”, “Bou Kidnap”, “Chirkut”, “Moneybag”, “Jogfol ek e”, “Noorjahan”, “Astha”, “Nagorik”, “Ochena Protibimbo” etc.
Apart from acting, Srabonti worked as a model in various TV advertisement including “Citycell Zoom Ultra”, “Dano”, “Banglalion WiMax”, “Meril Baby Lotion” etc.
In an interview with Prothom Alo, Urmila Srabonti Kar mentioned about her frustration regarding the unstable media industry. She also showed her interest to work in a big screen movie in the future.
